The current implementation is the first step towards being able to send more complex workouts consisting of steps and repetitions to Garmin Connect.

To enable the integration, the athlete, using the mobile app for Android (version 2.12.0 and above) or iOS (version 1.29.0 and above) should go to Menu and then to Connections to external apps. There, disconnect and reconnect to access the new options. On the Garmin system, the Training option should be enabled:





When enabled, all newly added and published workouts will be sent to the Garmin Connect calendar. They will also be updated if they change in the Good Coach system or if they are moved to another date or deleted. In Garmin Connect athlete can further send this workout to his/her sport watch.


If an athlete wants to have a say in what is sent to the Garmin Connect calendar, they can uncheck the 'Export automatically...' option. Then, with the workout plan in the Good Coach app, he will have the option in the workout menu to send the workout manually. This option will appear under the condition that the workout is not completed and it is a future workout. This option only appears for the athlete. A coach cannot manually send workouts to their athlete's Garmin Connect calendar.
