Adding workout with completion (only Athlete)
Web application
It is possible to add a workout without an existing plan (only possible for today or in the past). Then in the plan component it is mandatory to enter only the type of training. In the completion component, the same fields are mandatory as when adding the completion itself.
If the name of the training is not entered, the system will automatically enter the name of the activity type.
Mobile Applications
From the pop-up menu on the calendar screen it is possible to add workout with completion (Add workout). It is possible only for past date or for today.
Required fields:
- activity type
- duration
- quality
- perceived effort
If the name of the training is not entered, the system will automatically enter the name of the activity type.
Quality of workout
By adding a workout completion, the Athlete chooses "Quality of workout". In this way, he determines his subjective attitude to the results of the quality and well-being during the workout in relation to what he could expect for his training level.
Possible options are:
- Exceptionally well!
- Better than usually
- Normal
- Worse than usually
- Beyond hope
This choice does not affect any statistics. It is available for the Coach.
Perceived effort
The choice of perceived effort refers to the Borg scale (RPE). The choice of the perceived effort should not depend on the length of training, only on its intensity per unit of time. The competitor should assess subjectively how the training was heavy. Theoretically, the same should be chosen for an easy 5 km run with an average heart rate of 135 beats / min, and a 50 km run with the same heart rate.
Possible options are:
- Rest (0)
- Very easy (1)
- Easy (2)
- Moderate (3)
- Sort of hard (4)
- Hard (5)
- Really hard (6)
- Very hard (7)
- Very, very hard (8)
- Extremely hard (9)
- Maximal (10)
If no Performance data of the athlete is defined, the effort perceived will be used to calculate the training load according to a simple method. The training load will then be calculated as RPE x number of training minutes. So at this point the training load of 5 km with very easy effort will be different from 5 km with very easy effort.
The training load is shown with the AU unit (Arbitrary Units).
The sum of the weekly training load appears in the weekly summaries and on the main list of athletes in the form of a graph.
You can find more about the Borg scale and RPE here...
State of workout completion
The training plan, together with the completion added by the athlete, automatically receive the status:
- not completed - red color (this status is automatic if there is no workout done by the athlete and training plan is on past date.
- partly completed - orange color
- completed - green color
- overcompleted - purple color
